Melody Hood 

 

Melody Hood is a special hooded scarf, designed in response to the hearing impairment of children with ASD, to help them relax and communicate more effectively.

 

 

 

What is Autism?

Autism is a developmental disability that usually appears during the first three years of life that affects how a personal brain works. The most recent estimate states that up to 1 out of every 88 children, have some form of ASD.

Tactile materials acts as a security blanket for the wearer, providing a sense of familiarity and comfort. 

 

 

A wireless headphone is contained in the hood that emanates music. Listening to music can help the wearer relax, focus, and communicate better.

 

An adjustable weighted scarf, is attached to the hood, enwraps the child to give them a sense of comfort and balance while keeping them calm and preventing repetitive behavior.
